My life as a consultant was exciting. I traveled extensively around the world, met wonderful people, and was paid well. I thought I had it made. Then a horseback riding accident turned my whole life upside down in an instant. I was now dealing with an invisible disability that caused me to lose many people, places, and things that were important to me. Grief set in, and was only complicated by my grandmother’s difficult death.

These two major life events made me reassess my identity, beliefs, and relationships. Even though I lost so much, through the help of therapy I was eventually able to find the meaning in grief and gifts within the wound. One of those gifts is becoming a grief counselor to help people like you learn to live again.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas #79471, and have been practicing for over 7 years. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Texas. I am certified in EMDR, and I'm a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS).
